I just went out shopping and found empty shelves, where usually there is toilet paper, anti-bacterial cleaning ranges, and medicines. 

Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, nappies, wipes were all sold out, and only a few last damaged packages of the more costly brands left. 

And this is only the beginning! Many people are sadly acting selfishly and irrationally. 

A few years ago, there was a water cut in Haggerston and after the legal deadline for having no
water supply in the area was up, a van was sent with bottles of drinking water (2 per person per household). 

Within minutes, those, who knew plundered the van and grabbed, what they could carry, some even in repeat tours. 

That showed to me the attitude of certain residents, who seemed to have insider knowledge and who organised the plundering amongst each other. There was nothing left for the decent and honest neighbours!

 Fortunately, a few hours later the water supply was reconnected... It is of utmost importance that we stay calm and use our common sense and compassion to manage this Corona crisis. We are only as strong as individuals as we are as a community.

 The plunderers will be cut off from their community and are easily identified, and won't be able to count on their neighbours in the long run... I wish everybody strength and peace. 

It is times like this, where we can overcome all obstacles by the grace and power and creativity of the human spirit. Resilience is based on the strength of our willingness to help. If you have to self-isolate, make it known, when you need help
or shopping being done for you, to this group and to your other contacts. 

There is most of the time a solution, and as a community, we are more likely to help each other.
